Vacation coming up? Need to keep your books a little longer?

Although we have vacation loan throughout the year, we like to drop a reminder during the summer, a busier vacation season. Older books can be kept up to three months. Let us know how long you need them and we will accommodate. There is no limit to how many older books you can take out. The only things we cannot put on vacation loan are movies or new books. Enjoy your vacation and your summer reading.

Adult Summer Reading Club

Are you a fan of reading groups, but don't want to be trapped inside during the summer? With our Adult Summer Reading Club you can share your comments and see others without going to a meeting. Simply fill out our entry form with one or two sentences explaining how you feel about any book that you have checked out from the library. During June, July, and August you will be entered into a monthly drawing for a prize. The more you read the more you can enter. The more you enter the more you could win. Entries will be posted in the library for everyone to view. Ask for the form at the Circulation Desk. Happy reading.

Annual Friends of the Osterhout Library Book Sale

Please join us, and the Friends of the Osterhout library for our annual book sale on the lawn of the Central Branch of the Osterhout Library. You can pick up that classic you have always wanted to read, or that new book that is fresh on your list for a fraction of retail prices. There is something for every reader, including a large collection of children's books. We also have a collection of, c.d.'s cassettes, audio books, and vinyl. All of the proceeds go directly to the library. Receive some great bargains, support the library and go home with a score of a really good books. It's a win, win, win situation.
