Ken Adler accomplishes the same with his new book, The Lie Detectors. Society has always been facinated by the complex ways people hide and tell the truth. In 1920 a cop was about to change the face of governmet, marriages, and the entire criminal justice system with a device called the polygraph. Even though it has been proven inaccurate at times, and can be fooled, it continues to fascinate us as human beings.
